Exercise definitely is our main focus here at NPLG Training, and you ladies are rocking it! Through side challenges and programs I think it's important that we pay attention to all facets of our health. Exercise is one we are good at and committed to, so awesome job there. But are you still feeling sluggish? Are you not able to break the plateau and lose those last 5 lbs?
Remember the saying "You are what you eat?" Isn't it just so true though? If you eat clean and healthy you feel clean and healthy from the inside out. If you eat crap, you feel like crap. Many years ago, my husband and I did a diet called "The Makers Diet". It made a lot of sense to me. All the food we need to eat was here for us all along. We were never meant to have foods genetically modified, or animals pumped up with antibiotics and hormones. How are those things affecting our bodies? Our hormones are screwed up and antibiotics have destroyed our normal digestive biome so much so that we have become sensitive to so many types of foods because our bodies are not functioning properly to handle it. I'm planning to bring you a zoom session with 2 guest speakers for a Q & A about this topic very soon. You'll have the opportunity to get some great info from them.
So if we can learn to eat better along with our exercise, we're good then right? Not yet. We also should incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and positive thinking. If we take care of our bodies inside and out, shouldn't we also take care of our emotional health? Yes. How you think and feel and breath leads to anxiety or calm. In the world today, it's easy to be worried, stressed, and anxious - even depressed. When we feel that way, we may not take care of our bodies. When we get stressed, it also stresses you physically and can lead to or worsen health issues. Stress hormones are known to contribute to weight gain. So for all these reasons, I'm working on a free online program here through the website about how to meditate and incorporate some positive thinking skills to keep our mindset right for emotional health.
Stay tuned for info on the guest speaker and the meditation program and lets bring our health full circle and become fit ladies of body, mind, and spirit!
